Η τελετή απονομής των «καθημερινών» τηλεοπτικών βραβείων θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 5 Μαΐου.

Οι σαπουνόπερες «Days of Our Lives» και «General Hospital» είναι τα μεγάλα φαβορί για διάκριση στα φετινά Daytime Emmys, με 27 και 25 υποψηφιότητες αντίστοιχα, ενώ ακολουθολυν το «The Young and the Restless» με 20 και το «The Bold and the Beautiful» με 12 υποψηφιότητες. Η τελετή απονομής των 46^ων βραβείων Daytime Emmy θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 5 Μαΐου στην Πασαντίνα της Καλιφόρνια.

Σε αντίθεση με τα πιο γνωστά Primetime Emmy – τα οποία τιμούν τις εκπομπές στη τηλεοπτική ζώνη υψηλής τηλεθέασης – τα Daytime Emmy βραβεύουν τις παραγωγές που προβάλλονται σε καθημερινή βάση, μεταξύ 2μμ και 6μμ.
